Game over!

So, this is the final posting for this blog.
Our final day was spent getting back to Warsaw via Czestochowa where we visited the Shrine of the Black Madonna. This is the biggest pilgrimage venue in Poland and each August, thousands of pilgrims venture there by foot. Even on our visit the place was packed and services roll out every hour. We took advantage of the clearway around the perimeter of the inside of the church to be able to do a "lap of honour" even while the service was taking place.
The monastery dates back to the 14th century.

The final stop before Warsaw

We had a final night in Warsaw before the long trip home. six hours to Doha with a five hour stopover before boarding for the fourteen hour long leg to Melbourne. We're both feeling pretty jet lagged at the moment but we'll no doubt get over it.
We've had a ball and hope you've enjoyed following it.

The next blog from us will be dementiabound 6 in October. Bring it on!!
